‘Doscopas Freizante’ Launch
Emart, Everyday Sales
Emart announced on the 1st that it will expand the lineup of its ultra-low-priced wine, 'Dos Copas.'
The newly released wine, 'Dos Copas Frizzante,' is a sparkling wine with 7% alcohol content that harmoniously blends fresh fruit aromas such as apple and apricot with a refreshing lemon scent. Frizzante is an Italian term meaning 'lightly sparkling wine.' The wine will be sold nationwide at Emart and Emart Everyday stores starting from the 2nd. The price has been set at 4,900 won through large-scale volume planning.
The wine is made by blending the 'Chardonnay' and 'Moscato' grape varieties from Fernando Castro, the oldest winery in the La Mancha region of Spain. Due to its delicate carbonation and subtle sweetness, it pairs well with any dish without overpowering it and is also perfect as a dessert wine enjoyed with fruit.
Emart is paying attention to the high interest in ultra-low-priced wines due to the high inflation. In fact, the 'Dos Copas Sauvignon Blanc,' launched targeting the summer season, sold 30,000 bottles in just 15 days. This means about 2,000 bottles were sold per day. As dining-out prices rise and home drinking culture spreads, customers who want to create a good atmosphere at home are turning their attention to cost-effective wines.
Go Ara, Emart’s wine buyer, said, “To continue the cost-effective wine craze ignited by 'Dos Copas Sauvignon Blanc,' we have introduced the sparkling wine 'Frizzante' as well,” adding, “Since sparkling wine is especially suitable for special occasions such as parties and vacations, we hope everyone has a happy summer with Dos Copas wine.”
Meanwhile, with this new product launch, Emart is currently selling a total of four types of Dos Copas wines: 'Cabernet Sauvignon,' 'Red Blend,' 'Sauvignon Blanc,' and 'Frizzante.'
