Overseas netizens paid attention not only to his overwhelming skills but also to his 'appearance.' Meanwhile, Osangwook achieved the first individual Grand Slam for a Korean fencing athlete at this Olympics. The Grand Slam means winning individual gold medals at the Olympics, World Championships, Asian Games, and Asian Championships. Previously, Osangwook secured a gold medal at the 2019 World Championships and won gold at last year's Hangzhou Asian Games.

He also won a gold medal at this year's Asian Championships and crowned the final journey of the Grand Slam by winning gold in the individual event at this Paris Olympics.

At the joint press conference held after the medal ceremony, he said, "I am very happy. But I want to rest more," and added, "I will rest comfortably after winning the gold medal in the team event."
