"Cannot Forget the Cooperative Culture of Financial Institutions' F4 Council"
Kim Ju-hyun, Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, expressed his reflections on his two-year term, stating, "The public will evaluate the various policy efforts."
At the farewell ceremony held on the 31st at the Government Seoul Office, Chairman Kim said, "Under difficult conditions, everyone at the Financial Services Commission united with one heart and did their best."
He emphasized the efforts of the Financial Services Commission officials. Despite a social atmosphere that values personal life, Chairman Kim showed a 'seon-gong-hu-sa' (putting public interest before personal gain) attitude by prioritizing the nation and its people first, saying, "I believe we have become the best organization that the public truly needs by acquiring professional expertise in our work."
He also shared his thoughts on the F4 meeting of financial institutions. This meeting is attended by the Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, the Minister of Strategy and Finance, the Governor of the Bank of Korea, and the Chairman of the Financial Supervisory Service to discuss major financial and economic issues. Chairman Kim stated, "I cannot forget the cooperative culture of the F4," adding, "The Financial Services Commission, with limited personnel and policy tools, was able to achieve work performance because we closely cooperated with related institutions such as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Bank of Korea, and the Financial Supervisory Service, all sharing the same concern for the future of the Republic of Korea."
Chairman Kim expressed his regret toward the officials of the Financial Services Commission, saying, "In a regrettable reality where uncertainties that could make our economy difficult are everywhere and precious time and national power are being consumed by futile political strife, I am sorry to leave behind heavy responsibilities and burdens."
Finally, he said, "When historic turmoil strikes, someone must faithfully fulfill the roles demanded by the times for the Republic of Korea to be maintained and developed," adding, "It seems that organizations fulfilling such missions are gradually disappearing, but I hope the Financial Services Commission will continue to remain as an organization that fulfills the historic mission needed by the Republic of Korea."
