Hapcheon County Conducts Joint Training for Emergency Communication Network Preparedness

For Unwavering Disaster Response in Hapcheon-gun: Six Disaster-Related Agencies Participate Even in Emergencies

Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam announced on the 31st that a joint training exercise to prepare for natural disasters caused by heavy rain was conducted under the supervision of Director of Safety and Construction Lim Chaeyoung, with the participation of six disaster-related organizations including Hapcheon County and Hapcheon Police Station.

This training was carried out under the assumption of a disaster occurring when heavy rain advisories and warnings are issued due to torrential downpours. The purpose was for each organization to familiarize themselves with their roles and to inspect the response system.

Six disaster-related organizations participated in the training: Hapcheon County, Hapcheon Fire Station, Hapcheon Police Station, Korea Electric Power Corporation, 4th Battalion of Unit 5870, and Samsung Hapcheon Hospital.

In addition, the training was conducted based on a scenario applying the standard operating procedures of the disaster safety communication network, allowing real-time dissemination of disaster situations among related agencies and reporting of each agency's response status.

Director of Safety and Construction Lim Chaeyoung stated, "Rapid dissemination of information and disaster response cooperation among related agencies play a decisive role in minimizing damage during disasters. We will continue to conduct thorough practical training using the disaster safety communication network to further enhance our response capabilities in case of emergencies."
