Geochang County's "Geochanghagae Noneunbeop" Rural Tour Program Progresses Smoothly

'Mysterious Wellness, Geochang' Fully Booked for July and August Summer Peak Season

Geochang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it has successfully completed the fifth trip of "Mysterious Wellness, Geochang," which is being carried out after being selected for the "2024 Rural Creatour Support Project."

This trip was attended by about 30 active seniors in their 40s and 50s, who enjoyed a healing time experiencing the beautiful nature and wellness of Geochang County.

"Mysterious Wellness, Geochang" began on the first day with a welcome tea at a 6th industry farm, followed by a visit to Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land, which features the nation's first Y-shaped suspension bridge, where participants enjoyed forest bathing. Afterwards, they moved to the Apple Theme Park to make Geochang apple rose pies, and wrapped up the first day's schedule by relieving fatigue at Gajo Hot Springs.

On the second day, participants took a stroll through the lotus wetland at Geochang Changpowon, and concluded the trip with a meal of Daewoo (Geochang Korean beef fed with mugwort) bulgogi at Haneulbidan Experience Village.

Gu Inmo, Mayor of Geochang, said, "Thanks to 'Mysterious Wellness, Geochang,' the county is establishing itself as a new tourist destination for many people," adding, "I hope you will visit again to fully enjoy the autumn of Geochang, colored in red and purple at Anti-Aging Healing Land, Geochang Changpowon, and Gamaksan."

Meanwhile, the Rural Creatour Support Project is a creative tourism activity in which local rural experience village councils, cultural foundations, social enterprises, and private travel agencies cooperate to plan and operate tourism products utilizing local resources.
