[Special Stock] Costexis Surges on Strong Performance of World No.1 US Onsemi... Highlight on Passing Mass Production Quality Check Upward

Kostexis is showing strong performance. This is attributed to the recent news that Onsemi, a U.S. semiconductor company that passed mass production quality, saw its stock price surge due to unexpectedly strong earnings.

As of 9:43 AM on the 30th, Kostexis is trading at 12,190 KRW, up 7.21% compared to the previous day.

The previous day on the New York Stock Exchange, Onsemi surged 11.54%. Its Q2 earnings per share (EPS) were $0.96, surpassing the market expectation of $0.92. Revenue also exceeded expectations at $1.74 billion compared to the forecasted $1.73 billion.

Onsemi is the global leader in power semiconductors. In its Q2 earnings announcement, the company stated that it is strengthening its solid market position in the SiC (silicon carbide) power semiconductor market. It also plans to continue expanding its market share among top-tier electric vehicle manufacturers not only in the U.S. but also in Europe and China.

Kostexis manufactures new component heat dissipation spacers used in next-generation SiC power semiconductors. The company recently announced that its SiC power semiconductor spacers passed Onsemi’s mass production quality standards. Additionally, quality tests are reportedly ongoing with leading power semiconductor companies such as STMicroelectronics, Vitesco, and Sanken.

SiC material offers ten times higher high-temperature stability and dielectric breakdown field strength compared to traditional silicon-based materials, with a maximum allowable voltage of 3000V, nearly double that of silicon. SiC power semiconductors have excellent thermal conductivity, use less energy than silicon, can operate cooling systems, and have an operating temperature of 600 degrees Celsius, which is more than three times higher, providing significant advantages.
