Asan City 63rd Admiral Yi Sun-sin Festival Performance Report
The satisfaction level of the 'Art Valley Asan 63rd Seongung Yi Sunshin Festival,' held in the Asan area last April, has significantly improved.
Satisfaction with the 'Art Valley Asan 63rd Seongung Yi Sunshin Festival', held last April in the Asan area of Chungnam Province, has significantly improved.
On the 29th, the city held a report meeting for the 'Art Valley Asan 63rd Seongung Yi Sunshin Festival', where a comprehensive discussion took place regarding the festival's evaluation and areas for improvement.
According to the festival evaluation conducted by the Korea Culture and Tourism Forum, the number of visitors to this year's Yi Sunshin Festival reached a total of 420,000, representing a 64% increase compared to 2023.
Along with the increase in visitors, consumer spending, including accommodation, food and beverages, and shopping, also rose from 31,436 won per person in 2023 to 45,003 won in 2024.
A survey conducted with 368 visitors showed that satisfaction improved from 5.31 points in 2023 to 5.56 points in 2024 on a 7-point scale.
However, accessibility and parking scores decreased by 0.16 points compared to last year. This is attributed to the shortage of parking lots and shuttle buses prepared in advance, due to the higher number of visitors than last year.
Mayor Park Kyunggui stated, "The significance of this year's festival lies in proving that the challenges and innovations attempted last year are sustainable," and added, "Let us use the feedback shared at the performance report meeting to improve weaknesses and strengthen advantages, so that the 'Yi Sunshin Festival' can establish itself as a leading festival in Korea."
