200 Boats Installed for Opening Ceremony Parade

Samsung Electronics' 'Galaxy S24 Ultra' played a key role at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics held on the 26th (local time).

The Paris Olympics opening ceremony was held outdoors for the first time in Olympic history. In particular, the highlight of the ceremony, the parade of athletes, took place on boats carrying delegations from various countries along the Seine River in the heart of Paris.
Samsung Electronics installed more than 200 Galaxy S24 Ultra devices on 85 parade boats to support live broadcasting, ensuring vivid filming of the athletes on the boats.
During the approximately 6 km parade along the Seine River, the Galaxy S24 Ultra transmitted real-time footage of the athletes on the boats to viewers worldwide.
Each country's delegation was able to share photos and videos taken during the opening ceremony parade with family, friends, and fans using the provided 'Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition.'

The Galaxy S24 Ultra will also be used for live coverage of the sailing competitions starting on the 28th (local time). The devices are installed on the participants' yachts and transmit real-time video via base station boats set up on the sea.
Samsung Electronics stated, "We conducted rigorous technical tests for about 360 days with over 100 experts and developed optimized software to broadcast ultra-high-definition videos captured by the Galaxy S24 Ultra."
