Samsung Electronics, an official sponsor of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), provided the ‘Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition’ to over 17,000 athletes participating in the Olympics and Paralympics. Samsung Electronics is reportedly operating a special dedicated transportation program with the IOC to distribute the products in line with the Paris Olympic schedule. Athletes from various countries have been moving into the Olympic Village since the 18th and are receiving the Olympic Edition devices sequentially.

A ‘Victory Selfie’ program is also being prepared, allowing Olympic athletes to take selfies directly on the podium. Until now, personal belongings such as athletes’ mobile phones were generally prohibited at Olympic award ceremonies, but this time, thanks to cooperation between Samsung and the IOC, it has been allowed.

The Paris Olympics will be held until August 11, competing for 329 gold medals across 32 events. South Korea has sent 143 athletes competing in 21 events to this Paris Olympics.
