Silla University Recruiting Participants for National Youth Petconomy Startup Idea Competition

Expectations for Revitalizing Startups in the Companion Animal Industry

Shilla University (President: Hur Namsik) I-URP Project Group is recruiting participants for the '2024 National Youth Petconomy Startup Idea Competition'.

The Shilla University Companion Animal Industry Specialized I-URP Project Group has prepared this competition, which will be held from the 29th to August 26th, to encourage interest in entrepreneurship in the companion animal industry and to provide opportunities for youths with outstanding ideas to realize their dreams.

This competition is open to middle and high school students nationwide, with teams of up to six members including a supervising teacher. The competition consists of a preliminary document review, including a business plan and supporting documents, followed by a final presentation evaluation.

Among the final 10 teams that advance to the finals, five teams will be selected to receive awards such as the Busan Economic Promotion Agency Director's Award, the Shilla University President's Award, the ONHEAL Award, the I-URP Project Group Director's Award, and a total prize of 1 million KRW.

The first round of recruitment for the competition was completed from June 28th to July 26th. The second round of recruitment will take place from the 29th to August 16th to further discover diverse and innovative ideas from university students.

A representative from the Shilla University I-URP Project Group stated that they expect the various ideas submitted by participants to contribute to the development of the companion animal industry.
