"Performance Improvement with High-Value-Added Products"
Dongguk CM announced its preliminary earnings for the second quarter.
On the 26th, Dongguk CM revealed that it recorded sales of 562.8 billion KRW, an operating profit of 29.1 billion KRW, and a net profit of 22.9 billion KRW in the second quarter of this year. Compared to the previous quarter, sales increased by 1.1%, operating profit by 22%, and net profit by 7.3%.
Although production and sales volume slightly decreased due to the downturn in demand from upstream industries, the company improved its performance by expanding the export ratio in a high exchange rate environment and focusing its sales strategy on highly profitable premium color steel sheet products such as Luxsteel and Absteel. The proportion of color steel sheets in the business portfolio expanded from 44% in the previous quarter to 48%.
Dongguk CM plans to achieve sustainable growth through three aspects?strengthening core competitiveness, transforming sales and marketing methods, and smart factory initiatives?centered on its mid-to-long-term growth strategy, 'DK Color Vision 2030.'
