Kakao announced on the 26th that it conducted an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Academy in collaboration with the Citizens' Coalition for Economic Justice (CCEJ) Economic Justice Research Institute.
At this event, Kakao presented ▲ the direction of corporate ESG ▲ Kakao's ESG management ▲ domestic and international evaluations of Kakao's ESG efforts. The ESG Academy is a program that introduces ESG trends and best practices in sustainable management to young people who will lead companies in the future.
There was also a session for dialogue between ESG field practitioners and participants. For the first cohort this year, 25 participants were recruited, and weekly lectures and field trips have been conducted throughout this month.
Yook Sim-na, ESG Promotion Leader of Kakao's ESG Committee, stated, "We are practicing ESG management in various ways from the perspectives of digital accessibility, environment, and partners to ensure better use of Kakao's services."
