In Yeongyang-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, the '1st Seonbawi Pongdang Pongdang Water Play Festival' will be held at the Ipam Seonbawi Tourist Site from July 27 to August 11.
Organized by the Yeongyang-gun Sports Association and sponsored by Yeongyang-gun, the '2024 1st Seonbawi Pongdang Pongdang Water Play Festival' will be open free of charge every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the festival period for local residents and tourists. The event aims to help children, exhausted from the heat, escape the sweltering weather and regain their energy.
The Seonbawi Pongdang Pongdang Water Play Festival venue is equipped with a pool, a lazy river, a waterslide, and various other interactive play facilities. The Yeongyang-gun Sports Association, which is organizing the festival, has assigned more than 10 safety personnel and medical staff to thoroughly prevent any safety accidents.
County Governor Oh Dochang stated, "I hope that local residents and tourists visiting the Seonbawi Tourist Site, Yeongyang-gun's representative tourist attraction, will have an enjoyable experience at the water play festival. We will do our utmost to ensure safety and hygiene so that children and parents can enjoy the water activities with peace of mind."
