Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced on the 26th that the Hwagok 6-dong Community Service Center will be relocated to a new building (105 Gonghang-daero 46-gil) on the 29th and will begin full-scale operations.
The Hwagok 6-dong Community Service Center is responsible for civil affairs and welfare services for approximately 25,880 residents and 12,360 households. To replace the existing Hwagok 6-dong office building constructed in 1984, the district built a new building with a total floor area of 3,625.42㎡, consisting of 2 basement floors and 5 above-ground floors, which was completed in May.
The new building's first floor houses the civil affairs office for administrative services, the second floor has a small library, the third floor includes a large auditorium and meeting rooms, the fourth floor contains program rooms, a dance studio, a community lounge, and the neighborhood security office, and the fifth floor features a fitness center. The basement levels 1 and 2 provide 24 parking spaces.
The new building was constructed through a public facility donation method as part of the Hwagok 6-dong Newlywed Hope Town apartment construction project. The district will hold an opening ceremony for the new community center at 10 a.m. on the 31st.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon stated, “We will do our best to communicate with residents in the new, more spacious building and provide trusted administrative services.”
