Daedong Hospital (Director Lee Gwangjae) announced that the Nutrition and Food Service Team's abstract was accepted at the "2024 National Dietitian Academic Conference" held at the aT Center for two days starting on the 24th.
This academic conference, hosted by the Korean Dietetic Association (President Song Jinseon), is held annually for dietitians, nutrition teachers, professors and students of related departments, institutions, and stakeholders across the country to enhance the professionalism and competency of dietitians.
This year, under the theme "Pioneers of Health and Environmental Recovery, We Are Dietitians," the event featured a variety of programs including lectures by session such as ▲Sustainable Future and Nutrition Service ▲New Paradigm of Personalized Nutrition Therapy ▲Aging Society and Nutrition Service for the Elderly, as well as online VOD sessions, Poster Presentations, and a Group Meal Photo Contest.
The abstract of Park Jiyoung, head of Daedong Hospital's Nutrition and Food Service Team, titled "A Study on the Utilization of Diabetes Screening Tools in Nutrition Counseling," was selected and exhibited during the conference.
Park Jiyoung stated, "I am delighted to have the opportunity to present my abstract at such a valuable event where I could meet, communicate, and learn from dietitians working in various fields including medical institutions, public health centers, industries, daycare centers, and social welfare facilities. I will continue to do my best as a dietitian to learn, inform, and communicate so that many people can lead healthy lives."
Park Jiyoung received the 2023 Diabetes Educator of the Year Award from the Korean Diabetes Association and is actively engaged in various activities for the nutrition and health management of patients visiting Daedong Hospital, such as diabetes education rooms, salty taste tests, and healthy diet exhibitions.
