Park Chan-dae, Acting Leader and Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated, "The People Power Party has once again obstructed the passage of the Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor Act," and added, "The Democratic Party will immediately propose a strengthened version of the Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor Act."

At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 26th, Acting Leader Park criticized, "The People Power Party has directly challenged the sovereign's order to investigate the unjust death of the fallen Marine and to uncover the truth about external pressure," and said, "Does ignoring the will of the people and driving a nail into the hearts of the bereaved families mean that as long as President Yoon Seok-yeol and his wife are 'bulletproof,' everything is fine?" He continued, "They should just change their party name to 'Bulletproof Power,'" and stated, "Falsehood cannot overcome the truth, and no power can defeat the people."

He said, "The pledge of Representative Han Dong-hoon, who promised to walk with public sentiment, was a blatant lie," and questioned, "How can blocking the special prosecutor act, which the people want and the bereaved families are waiting for, be a way to be with the public sentiment?" He added, "Seeing that from the very start they claim to be the 'Yongsan Sunflower,' the prospects for Representative Han's leadership are bleak," and emphasized, "Keep in mind that the only thing awaiting the hopeless ruling party that refuses to come to its senses despite public anger and the leader who mocks public sentiment is judgment." Furthermore, he stated, "The Democratic Party will not yield to any obstruction from the Yoon administration and the ruling party," and "We will keep knocking until the door of truth opens."

Supreme Council Member Seo Young-kyo said at the meeting, "Out of 108 People Power Party lawmakers, 104 opposed the re-deliberation of the Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor Act," and remarked, "It seems the People Power Party is beginning to split." She also emphasized, "We will push forward again," and "We will propose a comprehensive special prosecutor act and will definitely ensure its passage."
