Industry's Lowest 2% Lower Fees, Supporting Small Businesses with '3 No Benefits' Including No Entry Fees, Monthly Fees, or Advertising Costs... 15% Discount and 30% Income Deduction Benefits When Using ‘Seongdong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ to Ease Household Burden
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jung Won-oh) operates the Seongdong-type win-win public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo,’ which provides benefits to both small business owners and consumers.
Recently, conflicts have escalated among franchise owners, delivery workers, and others following the announcement of commission fee increases by major delivery platforms. Amid this, the Seongdong-type public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo,’ operated by Seongdong-gu, attracts attention for its industry-low commission fees based on the principle of 'win-win.'
‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ offers low commission fees and three no-charge (無) benefits for small business owners. While major delivery platforms charge delivery commission fees of around 9?12%, ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ charges a low commission fee of 2%, the lowest in the industry.
Additionally, there are no entry fees, monthly usage fees, or advertising costs, which has received strong support from small business owners struggling with high inflation.
Consumers also receive various benefits such as coupon promotions and events. In particular, when using the ‘Seongdong Ttaenggyeoyo’ gift certificate, consumers can get a 15% discount, and the amount spent on the gift certificate qualifies for a 30% income deduction during year-end tax settlement.
The ‘Seongdong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ is a mobile-only gift certificate usable on the Seongdong-type public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo.’ In March, the district signed a business agreement with Shinhan Bank for the operation of the public delivery app, and since May, it has been issuing the ‘Seongdong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate.’
The ‘Seongdong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ will be issued monthly at a scale of 2 to 3 billion KRW, totaling 1.9 billion KRW by December this year. It can be purchased at a 15% discounted price up to 100,000 KRW per person per month starting from 10 a.m. on the 1st of each month (or the next business day if a holiday) through the ‘Seoul Pay+’ app.
As of the end of June, the number of franchise stores in Seongdong-gu registered on ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ is 1,061. The district plans to promote the app to increase the number of franchise stores so that more residents can benefit.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “I hope the Seongdong-type public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ will greatly help small business owners struggling in this high-inflation era to increase sales and ease the financial burden on residents.” He added, “We will continue to provide meticulous support so that both small business owners and residents can coexist and revitalize the local economy.”
