"Gifticons and Show Purchased on Wemakeprice Usable Normally (Comprehensive)"

11st "Gifticons sold on Wemakeprice are used normally... Worth 1 billion KRW"
KT Alpha also plans normal use of Giftishow sold on Tmon and Wemakeprice

Some mobile gift certificates sold on Wemakeprice and Tmon, which are experiencing delays in payment settlements, are expected to be used normally. This is because 11st, which operates 'Gifticon,' and KT Alpha, which operates 'Giftishow,' have taken measures to ensure normal use within the validity period.

11st announced on the 25th that it has decided to allow consumers to use Gifticons sold on Wemakeprice that have not yet been used normally.

According to this decision, Gifticons sold on Wemakeprice can be used within the validity period. If the seller name on Wemakeprice is listed as 'Gifticon,' the product can be used normally. 11st has been selling Yogiyo and Baedal Minjok gift certificates, Shinsegae gift certificates, and others on Wemakeprice.

According to 11st, the scale of unused Gifticons sold on Wemakeprice currently amounts to about 1 billion KRW. However, 11st did not directly sell Gifticons on Tmon.

Another mobile coupon service, 'Giftishow,' can also be used within the validity period. KT Alpha, which operates Giftishow, also announced on the same day that all mobile coupons issued by the company purchased from Tmon and Wemakeprice can be used normally.

Accordingly, mobile coupons 'Giftishow' with sellers listed as Tmon and Wemakeprice can be used at designated usage locations within the validity period.

KT Alpha has signed supply contracts with brands such as coffee shops, convenience stores, and department stores to issue mobile coupons, which have been sold on both Tmon and Wemakeprice. After the payment settlement delay incident occurred, KT Alpha suspended sales on Tmon and Wemakeprice on the 16th. Subsequently, it established a policy allowing customers to use previously sold mobile coupons normally without purchase cancellation or issuance cancellation.

An official from 11st said, "We decided this under the judgment that consumer convenience is the top priority even if the unsettled losses increase," adding, "We will continue to do our best to prevent consumer inconvenience."

A KT Alpha official also stated, "We responded quickly after the payment settlement delay incident at Tmon and Wemakeprice to prevent customer damage," and added, "We will continue to monitor and respond accordingly in the future."

Earlier, Wemakeprice and Tmon, social commerce platforms subsidiaries of Qoo10, experienced delays in settlements to sellers. Sellers who did not receive settlement payments failed to properly deliver products to customers, and customers who purchased products are also facing difficulties with refunds.
