On the 25th, LG Chem stated during the Q2 earnings conference call, "We are currently building a cathode pilot line for LFP batteries in Cheongju and are proceeding with product development as planned." They added, "We are considering the batteries more for electric vehicles than for energy storage systems (ESS), and are in supply discussions with multiple automakers."
