Wishing for the Successful Hosting of the National (Disabled) Sports Festival and Promoting Geochang County's Culture and Tourism
Geochang County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 25th that it participated in a relay challenge to wish for the successful hosting of the 105th National Sports Festival and the 44th National Para Games.
This challenge was joined by Geochang County Mayor Koo Inmo, Geochang County Sports Council President Yoo Inhwan, Geochang County Disabled Sports Council Secretary General Son Kwonmo, and Geochang County Kendo Association President Hwang Jongjin. They wished for the success of the 105th National Sports Festival and promoted the '34th Geochang International Theatre Festival' as well as the tourist attraction 'Gamak Mountain Star Wind Hill,' which is famous for its Aster chrysanthemums.

This relay challenge, which supports the National Sports Festival through photos or videos to raise awareness and create a festive atmosphere, started in the main host city of Gimhae and continues with the participation of the Governor of Gyeongnam Province and mayors and county heads from across the province.
The 105th National Sports Festival, returning to Gyeongnam after 14 years, will be held from October 11 to 17, centered in Gimhae and spanning 75 venues across 18 cities and counties in Gyeongnam, featuring 49 events. The 44th National Para Games will be held from October 25 to 30 in 37 venues across 12 cities and counties, featuring 31 events. The event hosted by Geochang County is Kendo, which will take place at the Geochang County Multipurpose Gymnasium, completed in March 2024.
Koo Inmo, Mayor of Geochang County, said, "I sincerely wish for the success of the National Sports Festival and hope for great interest in Kendo, the event hosted by Geochang County. I also encourage everyone to enjoy the 34th Geochang International Theatre Festival, and during the Sports Festival, visit Star Wind Hill, where the purple Aster chrysanthemums are in full bloom, to enjoy both sports and nature together."
