Request to Woods for Ryder Cup Participation in Desired Manner
Opening Next September in Farmingdale, New York, Facing Europe
Keegan Bradley, captain of the U.S. team for the 2025 U.S.-Europe golf competition Ryder Cup, has asked the "Golf Emperor" Tiger Woods for help.

At the official press conference for the PGA Tour 3M Open (total prize money $8.1 million) held on the 24th (local time) at TPC Twin Cities (par 71) in Blaine, Minnesota, USA, he revealed, "I told Woods, whom I met at The Open, to participate in the Ryder Cup in the way we want." He added, "We both had very little time at The Open, so we couldn't talk for long, but there are still 14 months left until the Ryder Cup, so there is plenty of time."
Woods was a strong candidate to be the captain for next year's Ryder Cup but declined due to his many responsibilities, including being a PGA Tour policy director. On the 9th, the captaincy unexpectedly went to Bradley. Bradley first selected Webb Simpson as vice-captain. He plans to appoint several more vice-captains soon. If Woods participates in the Ryder Cup team, he could be one of the vice-captains, but considering his stature, it is more likely that another position will be created for him.
Bradley has won six PGA Tour titles in total, including the 2011 major PGA Championship. He participated in the Ryder Cup in 2012 and 2014. The Ryder Cup will be held next September at the Bay Page Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. Historically, the U.S. leads Europe with 27 wins, 2 draws, and 15 losses. However, Europe has been strong at home, having won seven consecutive matches on European soil since the 1997 tournament in Spain.
