"Ex-Boyfriend's Partial Suicide Note Reveals 'No Past Exposures by Jjuyang'"

Conflicting Claims Between Responsible Lawyer and Party

The suicide note of ex-boyfriend A, who assaulted, extorted, and threatened 10 million YouTuber Jjuyang for four years before passing away, has been partially revealed. The contents of the note conflicted with the claims of lawyer B, who was his legal representative.

On the 24th, JTBC disclosed part of the suicide note A left to lawyer B before his death by suicide in April last year. It is known that A left a separate note to B, his legal representative, apart from the one to his family, to express his grievances. He stated, "I am leaving this letter because I find the other party's claim that I spoke about the past after the settlement suspicious."

Previously, lawyer B reported Jujeyeok, a so-called 'cyber recker' YouTuber, about Jjuyang's past in February last year. When public criticism arose over leaking someone else's private life, B shifted responsibility to the deceased, claiming that the report to Jujeyeok was made at the request of client A.

However, in the newly revealed suicide note, A wrote, "I am leaving this letter because I find the claim that I spoke about Jjuyang's past suspicious. Even now, as I am ending my life, I cannot bring myself to write about the other party's past."

In response, B said, "A lawyer does not make decisions directly. A asked me to call Jujeyeok, so I reported it," and claimed, "I reported to Jujeyeok as per the content certification written by A." He also suggested that A was mentally impaired, saying, "At that time, A was taking antidepressants and was unstable."

In December 2022, Jjuyang filed civil and criminal lawsuits against A for four years of assault, threats, and extortion of 4 billion won, but later withdrew the lawsuits after receiving partial payment of the owed earnings and under confidentiality conditions. The controversy over cyber reckers threatening Jjuyang's private life surfaced on the 10th. The YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' claimed that the cyber recker alliance, including Jujeyeok and Jeongukjin, threatened to expose Jjuyang's past and extorted money. Subsequently, various speculations arose about how Jjuyang's past was leaked to the cyber reckers, and Jjuyang mentioned lawyer B's leak during the explanation process.
