Ca Mau Province in Vietnam, Training on Advanced Seaweed Farming Technology in Gijang County

County Governor Jeong Jongbok: "Continued Exchange to Build Friendly Networks"

Busan's Gijang County recently announced on the 24th that a delegation of mid-level public officials from Ca Mau Province, Vietnam visited the Gijang County Fisheries Resources Research Center and engaged in exchange activities.

The Ca Mau Province delegation, which visited Gijang County on the 23rd, was invited as part of the 2024 International Development Cooperation program hosted by the Kyung Hee University Institute of Social Sciences. The visit was organized to strengthen local development and governance capabilities in Vietnam and to promote friendship between the two countries.

On this day, 24 members of the delegation, including Director of Industry and Trade Department Nguen Di Thien, visited the research center to observe Gijang County's advanced seaweed seed cultivation technology and cutting-edge marine technology. They exchanged knowledge on seaweed aquaculture techniques and spent time fostering friendship and cooperation between the two institutions.

In particular, since Ca Mau Province, like Gijang County, has a geopolitical characteristic of being adjacent to the sea and fisheries play an important role, this visit is expected to serve as an opportunity to enhance the relationship and promote mutual development between the two institutions.

Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang County, stated, "This visit by the delegation of mid-level public officials marks a meaningful and valuable occasion for initiating an exchange relationship between our county and Ca Mau Province," and added, "We will continue to build a close friendship network with Ca Mau Province and actively pursue exchange activities between the two institutions."
