From the 29th to the 12th of next month, a 2-week
'Hangang Ramen' Tasting Event and More
Nongshim announced on the 24th that it will operate a pop-up store themed around Shin Ramyun at Carrefour stores in France.
The Nongshim pop-up store will be held for two weeks from the 29th of this month to the 12th of next month at five Carrefour locations situated at key points such as stadiums and the Eiffel Tower, coinciding with a major sports event taking place in Paris.
At the Nongshim pop-up store, a tasting event for the instant cooking "Hangang Ramyun," which has been gaining interest in Europe due to the recent influence of K-culture, will be held. In addition, major products including Shin Ramyun will be sold, and coupon events will be conducted.
Lee Yong-jae, Executive Vice President of Nongshim's International Business Division, said, "We have created a space where tourists from around the world and locals gathered in Paris, France, can experience Korea's representative ramen, Shin Ramyun," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our foundation in the European market through various marketing efforts that expand contact points with local consumers."
Nongshim has recently been intensifying its efforts to target the European market, centered on France. Last month, it placed major ramen and snack products in Leclerc and Carrefour, the top two distributors in France, and consecutively participated in the Korea Expo 2024 held in Paris and the K-Street Festival, operating a Nongshim-themed booth composed of product tasting areas and photo zones, receiving great responses from locals.
In the second half of the year, Nongshim plans to expand the placement of major products such as Shin Ramyun in local large distributors including Lidl in Germany and Salling Group in Denmark, and will hold a tasting event themed around K-Hangang Ramyun during lunchtime for about 4,000 employees of Carrefour headquarters in France, featuring major products such as Shin Ramyun, Neoguri, and Chapagetti.
