Gochang County in Jeonbuk announced on the 24th that it has officially begun preparations for the festival by holding a working meeting for the '51st Gochang Moyangseong Festival' chaired by Kim Cheol-tae, Deputy Governor of Gochang.
At the working meeting, plans for the festival's composition and various program ideas were discussed to provide fun and inspiration to residents and tourists visiting Gochang.
The '51st Moyangseong Festival,' to be held from October 9 to 12, aims to be a vibrant festival enjoyed in Gochang where generations and cultures blend, based on 50 years of history and experience.
Various performances and experiential programs inside and outside the town fortress, which residents and tourists can participate in, as well as themed performances that add the sensibilities of the MZ generation on top of the 51-year tradition of the Moyangseong Festival, are planned.
Kim Cheol-tae, Deputy Governor of Gochang County, said, "We will make this festival one where all generations and cultures that make up Gochang come together at Moyangseong, showcasing the charm and excitement of Gochang to visitors, and contributing to regional revitalization through building relationships with Gochang."
