Bright Eye Clinic 21 (Chief Director Kim Deok-bae) announced on the 23rd that it held the award ceremony for the "16th Children's Eye Drawing Contest" on the 20th at the small conference room on the 11th floor of Bright Eye Clinic 21.
The "Children's Eye Drawing Contest," co-hosted by Bright Eye Clinic 21 and the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation Gwangju Regional Headquarters, began in 2009 as part of an eye health campaign and marked its 16th edition this year.
This contest, under the theme "Happy and Healthy Life and Eyes," was held throughout June targeting kindergartners and elementary school students nationwide, with a total of about 250 original drawings submitted.
Among them, based on fair criteria such as theme delivery, creativity, expressiveness, and completeness, a total of 34 winners were selected: 1 Grand Prize winner, 3 Excellence Award winners, 10 Encouragement Award winners, and 20 Honorable Mentions.
The Grand Prize was awarded to Park Ga-eun, a student at Hyo-deok Elementary School in Gwangju, who submitted a work titled "Healthy Eyes Protected by a Healthy Life."
The Excellence Awards were given to Kwon Jae-young from Halla Elementary School in Jeju for "Happy and Healthy Life and Eyes," Kim Ri-won from Ria Kindergarten in Seoul for "Let's Go to the Forest Where Eyes Get Better," and Song Soo-min from Suwan Elementary School in Gwangju for "Grow Up Strong and Healthy!!"
At the award ceremony, about 40 people, including Kim Deok-bae, Chief Director of Bright Eye Clinic 21, Kim Eun-young, Head of the Gwangju Regional Headquarters of the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, as well as the students and parents of the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Encouragement Award winners, gathered to share the joy of the awards.
