'Veteran 2' is being introduced at an international film festival for the second time, following the Cannes Film Festival (Midnight Screening section). The Toronto International Film Festival is considered one of the world's four major film events alongside Cannes, Berlin, and Venice. Many North American film industry professionals participate, and Hollywood new releases are frequently showcased.

Director Ryu experienced this festival's Gala Presentation section last year with 'Smugglers.' In 2015, he met audiences in the Vanguard section with 'Veteran.'

'Veteran 2' is an action crime investigation drama about veteran detective Seo Do-cheol, who relentlessly pursues a serial killer that has shaken the world. Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hae-in star in the film, which was produced by OCN. It is scheduled to be released domestically on September 13.
