'Temporary Closure' Notice Controversy
Turns Out to Be a Coffee Shop Announcement

Following Wemakeprice, TMON is also experiencing delays in seller payment settlements, causing growing anxiety among the sellers on the platform. In particular, an announcement stating that TMON headquarters would temporarily close for interior repairs has further fueled consumer concerns. However, it has been reported that the TMON closure is not true.

According to online communities on the 23rd, a notice stating that the first floor of TMON headquarters located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, would be temporarily closed for interior repairs was posted starting that day. Typically, interior repairs have a set deadline, but in TMON's case, no end date for the temporary closure was specified, which intensified the controversy.

However, according to Money Today, the notice was not posted by TMON but by a coffee shop on the first floor of TMON headquarters. The coffee shop temporarily closed due to a drainage pipe replacement issue.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of various airline tickets being canceled due to TMON's delayed payment settlements. Playstory, which has been selling resort accommodation vouchers and water park admission tickets on TMON, sent a notice to customers on the 19th stating, "Due to TMON's delayed payment deposits, it is difficult to use the products," and informed them of purchase cancellations and refunds.

As a result, many posts expressing dissatisfaction from consumers who suddenly received purchase cancellation notices shortly before their departure dates have been posted on various online communities.

Wemakeprice announced on the 17th through a seller notice that it would complete settlements by the end of this month, along with compensation measures such as paying 10% annual interest on delayed payments and providing 10% points on the delayed amount. However, even after that, individual notices to sellers indicated that the promised settlement schedule was not being met, increasing sellers' anxiety.
