Haitai Ice announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "1st Bravo Cone National Children's Baduk Tournament," the largest of its kind in Korea.
Sponsored by Haitai Ice and hosted and organized by the Korea Baduk Association Foundation, this tournament offers the highest prize money and is the largest children's Baduk competition in the country. Any kindergarten or elementary school student interested in Baduk can participate.
The tournament consists of five regional competitions and a national competition to determine the top children's Baduk player. From next month until October, regional competitions will be held in five locations: Cheonan, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju, and Taebaek, according to the schedule of each event. The national competition will take place on November 3rd at the Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
In addition to the Baduk matches, various events such as autograph sessions with famous professional Baduk players and distribution of participation souvenirs will be held. Detailed information about the tournament, including application guidelines and schedules, can be found on the Korea Baduk Association website.
A representative from Haitai Ice stated, "In a situation where the number of students playing Baduk has recently decreased significantly, we decided to hold this tournament to promote and revitalize Baduk and enhance the thinking skills of domestic students." They added, "We hope children who love Baduk will freely showcase their skills and enjoy the tournament."
