Jangseong-gun, Nominations for Citizen Awards in Five Categories Including Agriculture

Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that it is accepting nominations for the 47th "Jangseong Citizen Award" this year.

The application fields are education, culture and arts, social welfare and sports, local defense, industry and economy, and agriculture, totaling five categories.

The eligibility criteria are ▲ individuals with clear achievements in each field ▲ those who have achieved outstanding results in official competitions, exhibitions, or academic research at the provincial level or higher, or have demonstrated creativity and development spirit recognized for national preservation value ▲ citizens who have made significant contributions both materially and spiritually to enhancing achievements in the relevant field.

Nominations can be made by individuals or heads of institutions/organizations, or by eup/myeon chiefs. In the case of individuals, a recommendation letter signed by more than 20 household heads must be submitted together.

The county will select up to one awardee per category through the review of the Citizen Award Screening Committee.

This year’s award ceremony is scheduled to be held at the 47th Jangseong Citizen Day commemorative event, which will take place alongside the opening ceremony of the Jangseong Hwangryonggang Autumn Flower Festival on October 5.
