Seoul Sarang Gift Certificates Additional Issuance of 60 Billion Won... Available for Purchase from the 30th

An additional 60 billion KRW worth of the metropolitan Seoul Love Gift Certificates, usable in all 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, will be issued. Citizens can purchase them starting from a designated time on the 30th, based on their birth year being odd or even.

On the 23rd, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that starting from the 30th, it will issue additional metropolitan Seoul Love Gift Certificates to support small business owners struggling with high inflation and high interest rates and to alleviate household burdens.

The metropolitan Seoul Love Gift Certificates can be used in all autonomous districts, not limited to specific districts. Starting this year, usage has expanded beyond offline affiliated stores to include the Seoul small business online exclusive section (eSeoul Love Shop) within the Post Office Shopping platform.

To purchase and use the gift certificates, users must download the 'Seoul Pay Plus (SeoulPay+)' app in advance. Based on birth year, those with 'odd' birth years can purchase from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and those with 'even' birth years from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The issuance amount is 30 billion KRW each for the morning and afternoon sessions. After 7:00 PM, if there is remaining sales capacity, purchases can be made regardless of birth year.

The gift certificates can be purchased at a 5% discount, up to 300,000 KRW per person per month. The holding limit is 1,000,000 KRW, and they must be used within five years from the purchase date. If purchased with a credit card, refunding the remaining balance is difficult; however, if purchased with cash (bank transfer), refunds are possible if at least 60% of the gift certificate amount has been used.

On the issuance day (the 30th), to ensure stable system operation, the 'Find Store' and 'Gift Certificate Gifting' functions in the Seoul Pay Plus app will be temporarily suspended from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

We hope this issuance will help increase sales for small business owners struggling with high inflation and interest rates, as well as reduce the burden of grocery prices for citizens."
