'PASS Spam Filtering' is a service that integrates the 'T Spam Filtering' service, which was provided as a separate app, into SKT's identity verification service application (app) PASS. From now on, SKT PASS app users will be able to use the spam blocking service without any additional procedures.

T Spam Filtering is a free spam blocking add-on service app launched by SKT in 2010. Users can directly register phone numbers they do not wish to receive or make calls from through the app, and can also register and block unwanted strings (patterns).

'PASS Spam Filtering' adds new features such as 'Keyword Recommendation' and 'Bait Message AI Detection Alert Service' in addition to the blocking and management functions provided by the existing T Spam Filtering service.

First, 'Keyword Recommendation' is a service that helps customers preemptively block incoming messages by extracting keywords likely to be included in spam messages based on reported spam message data and providing them to customers.

The 'Bait Message AI Detection Alert Service' offers an advanced spam and smishing blocking service by pre-detecting bait messages that induce phishing crimes impersonating acquaintances or financial institutions and alerting customers to prevent such crimes.

Customers who wish to use 'PASS Spam Filtering' simply need to update the PASS app installed on their smartphones to the latest version.

SKT plans to further enhance 'PASS Smart Filtering' by incorporating AI-based smart spam blocking functions and phishing and smishing suspicion inquiry features.

O Se-hyun, Vice President and Head of Web3 CO at SKT, stated, "We expect that the PASS Spam Filtering service will increase accessibility to spam blocking services, enabling customers to block spam according to their own will. SKT will continue to strive to reduce customer fatigue caused by spam messages and create a safe communication service environment."
