First, the 'Cool Summer Trip Stamp Rally' will run until the 18th of next month. It is a program where visitors observe pandas, sea lions, and other animals, and collect certification stamps at each visit location to complete an exploration map.
Participants can receive an exploration map at a total of six mission locations, including Panda World and Puppa Town, and anyone can join for free. Those who collect stamps at three or more locations and complete the mission will receive a special animal badge as a gift at Bao House.
At each mission location, zookeepers hold 'Animal Talk' programs at scheduled times, sharing characteristics of the animals. Participants can write down ways to protect the environment for their favorite animals on the exploration map and verify it on the Naver fan cafe 'Zootopia' for a chance to win an Everland gift card through a raffle event.
Since the 19th, the 'Lost Valley Summer Sunset Adventure,' a walking exploration of the ecological safari Lost Valley, has been operating. This special program allows visitors to enter Lost Valley on foot with a zookeeper during the cool evening hours, observing various animals up close without riding an exploration vehicle.
During the approximately one-hour walking exploration, participants can meet endangered animals such as camels, elephants, giraffes, and rhinoceroses, listen to explanations from zookeepers, and learn about ecological information and the importance of species conservation.
The Animal Academy is also introducing new programs for the summer vacation. Starting from the 9th of next month, the 'Korean Tiger Academy' will be held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Visitors can examine tiger byproducts such as whiskers. They can enter the Tiger Valley interior to observe medical training processes like oral examinations and blood sampling. A customer experience program is also prepared, where participants make enrichment toys to install in the release area and create tiger footprint clay plates.
The 'Veterinarian Academy' will also be held from the 3rd of next month, targeting upper-grade elementary school students. Everland Zoo veterinarians will introduce their profession. Participants will have opportunities to experience veterinary work through ultrasound virtual reality (VR), X-ray imaging, and Bologan injections.
