Mayor Ikwon Jae: "Working Conditions of Transportation Workers Are Directly Linked to Citizen Safety"
A rest area for bus drivers has been established at Osan Station Transfer Center in Osan-si, Gyeonggi-do.
On the 22nd, Osan City held an opening ceremony for the 'Bus Transportation Workers Rest Area' at Osan Station Transfer Center, attended by about 50 people including Mayor Lee Gwon-jae.

The rest area was created by remodeling part of the second floor of Osan Station Transfer Center and is equipped with various facilities such as a TV, massage chairs, and sofas to allow bus transportation workers to relax.
The rest area reflects the suggestions made by drivers during a transportation workers' training session conducted by Osan Transportation in May, which Mayor Lee attended. Responding to the difficulty that there was no resting space for transportation workers within the transfer center, Mayor Lee promised the establishment of the rest area, stating, "Expanding welfare is important for safe driving."
Earlier, last month, Mayor Lee also visited the taxi stands at Osan Station Transfer Center, Osan Post Office, and Gweolrisa area to listen to the on-site difficulties faced by taxi drivers.
At the opening ceremony, Mayor Lee said, "When bus transportation workers can rest comfortably, the safety of citizens is also protected," and added, "I will continue to listen directly to the voices of transportation workers and take the lead in solving problems."
