Kumho Tire has completed the 33rd Hope Study Room in collaboration with the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. At the completion ceremony for the 33rd study room, Kumho Tire’s Kang Jin-gu, Head of the Management Support Team, and Kim Sun-hee, Team Leader of the Sharing Project Team 2, attended and participated in the presentation of the study room plaque.
The ‘Together GREEN Hope Study Room’ support activity, now marking its 33rd installment, is a social contribution initiative promoted by Kumho Tire as part of its educational environment improvement project for adolescents from low-income families. Through this activity, Kumho Tire creates a learning environment by providing educational tools and improving living conditions for low-income families with adolescents in the metropolitan area.
The beneficiary child of the 33rd study room is a 15-year-old student with clear future aspirations and specific goals. Kumho Tire carefully identified the detailed needs for the study room desired by the student, established a detailed plan to achieve academic goals, and created an environment necessary for studying, including a bed, desk, wallpaper, and flooring.
Kang Jin-gu, Head of the Management Support Team, said, "Since 2016, Kumho Tire has been steadily carrying out the Hope Study Room project to create an environment where adolescents can freely dream. Every year, after establishing the Hope Study Room, we carefully review students’ feedback to provide an even better environment."
