Steinway Boasts Price Range of 150 Million to 200 Million KRW

Actress Seohyun, formerly of the girl group Girls' Generation, revealed her high-end grand piano. The product is from the piano manufacturer 'Steinway,' which boasts a long history, and is known to be priced in the hundreds of millions of Korean won range.

On the 21st, Seohyun posted a photo on her social media (SNS) with the caption "My precious first grand piano." The Steinway brand logo is clearly visible on the side of the piano.

It is known that Seohyun dreamed of becoming a pianist before joining Girls' Generation. She has showcased her piano skills on various TV programs in the past and mentioned in an interview, "Before becoming a trainee at SM Entertainment, my future aspiration was to be a pianist."

She still shows a special affection for the piano, leaving a review after attending pianist Lim Yoon-chan's concert held last month at the Seoul Arts Center.

The Steinway piano Seohyun posted about is also an expensive product, typically priced in the hundreds of millions of Korean won. Steinway pianos are sold in the range of 150 million to 200 million KRW, while Boston pianos, the company's more affordable brand, usually cost tens of millions of KRW.

In return for the high price, Steinway pianos are widely regarded as having the world's best sound quality. Craftsmen who have been engaged in piano manufacturing for well over 100 years handcraft each piano, and it takes a full year to make one piano.

Additionally, all the wood used in Steinway pianos is carefully selected directly from vast natural areas in the United States and Germany, and only wood dried naturally over several years is used.
