Shinsegae Myeon, Industry First Launch of Hallasan Soju and Giwon Whiskey

Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Also Features 'K Makgeolli Zone'

Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 22nd that it will exclusively launch two airport edition products in collaboration with the liquor brand Hallasan at Incheon Airport Duty Free. Additionally, it will introduce an exclusive product in collaboration with the single malt whiskey 'Giweon' for the first time in a duty free store, and launch the first-ever K Makgeolli Zone in domestic duty free.

The 'Hallasan Soju Airport' edition, created in collaboration with the Hallasan brand representing Jeju, is a renewed product with an airport concept, featuring a 6-bottle package of 'Hallasan Miniature' and a 5-bottle package of 'Hallasan Original 200ml.' The company explained that this is a special edition sold exclusively at Shinsegae Duty Free.

The premium distilled liquors 'Heobeoksul' and 'Hallasan1950,' known as Jeju's famous liquors, will also be introduced for the first time in the duty free industry. 'Hallasan1950' is characterized by its deep and smooth flavor, matured in oak barrels using 100% domestically produced rice distilled raw material, while 'Heobeoksul' is a premium distilled liquor aged for a long time in oak barrels using Jeju volcanic bedrock water and honey.

Shinsegae Duty Free will also release a limited edition in collaboration with 'Giweon,' the first domestic single malt whiskey brand in the industry. This product is made from whiskey produced from a single oak barrel and is limited to 318 bottles. It is noted for its harmonious balance of caramel, summer fruits, and oak flavors.

Within Terminal 1 of Incheon Airport, a 'K Makgeolli Zone' will be established. The brands featured include ▲ Chunpoong Miju12 ▲ Gangnam Signature Makgeolli ▲ Boksundoga ▲ Maebsi, offering a variety of flavors ranging from champagne makgeolli to takju. A Shinsegae Duty Free official stated, "We plan to continuously collaborate with K-liquor brands to support the growth of the Korean liquor industry."
