Hyundai Motor Group Launches University Student Environmental Volunteer Corps

On the 22nd, Hyundai Motor Group held the launch ceremony for the university student eco-friendly volunteer group Happy Move The Green at Gonjiam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.

Happy Move is a global youth volunteer group introduced by Hyundai Motor Group, and Happy Move The Green is a renewed program launched in 2022 focusing on the environment and future generations. The program includes special lectures on environmental issues, group volunteer activities, exploration of eco-friendly landmarks in Germany, and presentations of corporate social responsibility ideas related to the environment.

From the end of May this year to mid-last month, 100 students were selected nationwide through an application process. Starting with the launch ceremony on this day, a four-day domestic orientation will be held until the 25th. Participants will engage in eco-friendly activities at places such as Yeoui Saetgang Ecological Park and attend local social contribution strategy sessions and special lectures in Frankfurt, Germany, where Hyundai Motor's European regional headquarters is located. The members will develop ideas related to environmental issues and present them at the graduation ceremony scheduled for September. Six outstanding teams will receive awards, and some ideas may be practically applied.
