'Resignation Pressure and COVID Quarantine' Biden Calls Trump a "Bold-faced Lie"

Ten Posts Targeting Trump Posted in Succession
Determination to Reject Resignation Theory Seen

U.S. President Joe Biden criticized former President Donald Trump, who is competing for the next presidential seat, by leaving a large number of messages on X (formerly Twitter). This is interpreted as a determination to dismiss calls for resignation amid isolation due to COVID-19 ahead of the presidential election.

On the 19th (local time), President Biden criticized on his X account, "I suffered the misfortune of being stuck at home with COVID while continuously watching Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention," adding, "What on earth is he talking about?" He then posted 10 consecutive posts with videos of Trump's speech, attacking the speech point by point.

Regarding Trump's self-praise during his tenure that he "handled COVID excellently," Biden responded, "He is the person who said injecting bleach would work while millions of Americans were dying." On Trump's remarks about protecting Social Security and Medicare, Biden called it a "blatant lie," stating, "Trump proposed cutting Social Security and Medicare every year during his term. If re-elected, he will do it again."

Regarding Trump's self-introduction as "the president who cut American taxes the most," Biden pointed out, "Trump, who boasted about tax cuts for billionaire friends, is targeting tax increases on the middle class." On Trump's pledge to abolish the electric vehicle mandate, Biden said, "Trump said he would end the electric vehicle mandate on his first day in office, but there is no electric vehicle mandate," adding, "American manufacturing is booming under my administration." On Trump's boast about getting along well with foreign dictators, Biden said, "The reason is that Trump himself wants to become a dictator."

Finally, Biden evaluated, "The worst lie he told overnight was repeatedly using the phrase 'in conclusion,'" adding, "There is no need to listen anymore." He also attached a campaign donation link, saying, "If you agree with me, please join our campaign."
