This exhibition will feature various genres of contemporary art works under the theme of the summer sea. In particular, the artworks will be arranged like waves from the entrance to the innermost Sujeongwon, naturally blending into the space of the memorial hall and offering visitors a unique experience.
The exhibition is free of charge, and for more information regarding the exhibition, inquiries can be made to the Park Taejoon Memorial Hall in Gijang-gun.
Governor Jeong Jongbok stated, "This exhibition will be an opportunity to showcase a high level of culture and art where the beautiful space of the Park Taejoon Memorial Hall and artworks come together," and added, "We will prepare various programs so that the memorial hall can serve as a space to reflect on the philosophy and spirit of Cheongam, as well as a place for culture and education for local residents."
The Park Taejoon Memorial Hall, built by Gijang-gun next to the birthplace of Park Taejoon, Honorary Chairman of POSCO who made great contributions to Korea's economic development, opened in December 2021. Comprising Sujeongwon, a corridor, an exhibition hall, and a small children's library, it is a representative local cultural space in Gijang-gun, attracting steady love from local residents and tourists alike with over 30,000 visitors in the first half of this year alone.
