Yeongcheon City Holds Briefing on Promoting Data-Based Administration

Composed of 3 Major Strategies, 9 Key Focus Tasks, and 14 Detailed Action Plans

Yeongcheon City, North Gyeongsang Province, has established the "Yeongcheon City Basic Plan for Promoting Data-Based Administration" in line with the government's implementation of a digital platform government.

On the 18th, the city held the final report meeting for the "Yeongcheon City Basic Plan for Promoting Data-Based Administration" via an online conference, attended by over 100 officials from departments utilizing data.


This project aimed to establish a basic plan for promoting data-based administration to complete digital administration through innovative data services focused on citizen life issues. Over five months, the project involved analyzing the current state of data, internal and external environments, conducting interviews with department staff, and holding interim report meetings, ultimately deriving strategies to be implemented over the next three years (2024-2026).


The main contents include forming the foundation for data administration in the first year, applying data-based administrative tasks in the second year, and establishing data administration as part of the organizational culture in the third year. The plan presents nine key initiatives and fourteen detailed action items.


Mayor Choi Kimoon stated, "Based on this basic plan, we will foster a culture of data analysis and utilization so that employees become experts who possess both data and business knowledge, enabling them to formulate policies and actively resolve issues based on objective evidence."


Yeongcheon City plans to conduct training on utilizing data analysis results, focusing on public sector data analysis cases and policy applications, during a woodworking special lecture in August.
