The Daejeon Metropolitan Council held a meeting of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts on the afternoon of the 19th, appointing Min Kyungbae (People Power Party, Jung-gu 3) as chairperson and Song Hwalseop (Independent, Daedeok-gu 2) as vice chairperson.

The 3rd term of the 9th Special Committee on Budget and Accounts consists of nine members (Min Kyungbae, Song Hwalseop, Lee Sangrae, Jung Myungkook, Kim Youngsam, Lee Jaekyung, Lee Hanyeong, Song Daeyoon, Lee Yonggi), who will serve on the committee until June 30, 2025.

Chairperson Min Kyungbae stated, "Through a comprehensive review of the overall financial operations of Daejeon Metropolitan Government and the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, I will do my utmost to address issues, ensure efficient allocation of resources, and support small business owners as well as socially disadvantaged and vulnerable groups."

Meanwhile, the Daejeon Metropolitan Council held its 6th plenary session of the 280th extraordinary session on the morning of the same day, processing 23 agenda items and concluding the 17-day session schedule.
