Good Neighbors Global Impact Foundation (CEO Hyun Jin-young) announced the launch of the upcycling product "Coffee Grounds Tray," created in collaboration with Coffee@Works, a specialty coffee brand operated by SPC.

The Coffee Grounds Tray is a domestically produced upcycling product made using coffee grounds discarded at Coffee@Works stores and eco-friendly biodegradable materials. Each tray uses coffee grounds equivalent to about four cups of Americano, enabling resource utilization in an environmentally friendly way.

In producing the product, the two companies collaborated with the social venture "Rewind," which addresses plastic waste issues through resource circulation. The tray is made from a blend of coffee grounds and raw materials certified with the globally recognized eco-friendly biodegradable and compostable certification, OK Compost Industrial.

The Coffee Grounds Tray upcycling product is available at Coffee@Works' "T2 Air Terminal Store," which opened on the 17th at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2. This product will be gradually introduced across all Coffee@Works stores in the future.

Meanwhile, in May, Good Neighbors Global Impact signed a tripartite agreement with SPC Group and SkyOne Networks to support the improvement of coffee quality and sustainable coffee industry development of the Guatemalan social enterprise "Buena Tierra." Buena Tierra is a social enterprise established by Good Neighbors Global Impact as part of the volcanic disaster recovery project in Guatemala. It supports coffee farmers' livelihoods through technical training for coffee quality improvement, operation of processing facilities, direct trade, and profit sharing activities.

Additionally, the foundation has established coffee production cooperatives in Kenya, Guatemala, Rwanda, and other regions, supporting their stable coffee production. Through this project, it contributes to increasing coffee farmers' income and regional community development. Furthermore, it professionally conducts social economy projects aimed at solving sustainable economic issues and improving the quality of life for marginalized groups in 26 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

A representative of Good Neighbors Global Impact stated, "Coffee grounds are usually disposed of as household waste through landfill or incineration, but the Coffee Grounds Tray, created in collaboration with Coffee@Works, can serve as a useful method to reduce household waste."
