Chairman Kim was recognized for fostering the domestic construction industry, contributing to the development of his alma mater, and engaging in various philanthropic activities.

Kim, who founded Bomi Engineering in 1988 and Bomi Construction in 1992, has grown Bomi Construction into a leading mid-sized construction company representing South Korea’s construction industry as a technology-driven entrepreneur. He has continuously invested in specialized technical research and development at Bomi Construction, contributing to the growth of the construction industry and the national economy.

Believing that improving the quality of education is the cornerstone of national development, he has consistently supported Inha University. Since 2005, he has dedicated efforts to projects such as Bomi Plaza, Bomi Hall, and the second dormitory, and currently serves as the chairman of the Inha University Alumni Scholarship Foundation.

In addition, he actively participates in donation activities for the advancement of various fields including social welfare, international community support, and cultural and artistic development, as well as support activities for socially vulnerable and marginalized groups.

CEO Na was recognized for his contributions to national industrial development as a professional entrepreneur and for fostering and practicing a culture of giving back through corporate social responsibility.

As a first-generation venture entrepreneur in South Korea, he founded the internet company Haneul Sarang in 1998 and has since devoted himself to the field of internet information services. In 1999, he established Zipcode, introducing the country’s first postal address change service, contributing to the development and popularization of internet information services. For these achievements, he received presidential citations in 2011 and 2015.

With a pioneering spirit, Na also donated funds for the construction of the Venture Startup Hall, hoping that Inha University will continue its reputation as a "university strong in ventures." He currently serves as a director of the Inha University Alumni Scholarship Foundation.

Additionally, CEO Na practices sharing by supporting neighbors in need, including child-headed households, people with disabilities, and children with heart disease, through the Haneul Sarang Welfare Foundation, which he established in 1999 with his own funds.

Jo Myung-woo, President of Inha University, said, "Both individuals have contributed to the development of national industries while excelling in fields representing South Korea, and have also worked hard to nurture future generations, serving as role models for their juniors. We will continue to do our best to cultivate talents like them."

Chairman Kim expressed, "It is an honor and a privilege to receive an honorary doctoral degree in the meaningful year marking the 70th anniversary of our alma mater’s founding. I will engrave the teaching of true sincerity from my alma mater in my heart and strive even more to make a positive impact on society."

CEO Na also said, "The honorary doctoral degree is not only a personal achievement but also a family celebration and honor. I am truly proud to have graduated from Inha University and want to promote Inha University to many people in the future."
