Mona Yongpyeong announced on the 19th that it has launched 'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' to establish new standards and culture for well-being products centered on the food business and is promoting new business ventures.

The launch ceremony of 'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' held on the 19th was successfully attended by Mona Yongpyeong CEO Shin Dalsun, key local figures, and related organization officials. At the ceremony, CEO Shin shared the vision and goals of 'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' and revealed various plans to provide customers with a healthy lifestyle and happiness. 'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' plans to gradually expand its business areas beyond food to non-food sectors and introduce Hallyu products worldwide through overseas expansion.

In 2020, Mona Yongpyeong established a food business division and expanded its business by developing healthy foods without artificial chemical additives using natural sweeteners such as Balwangsan hydrangea tea and xylitol. As a result, various products such as Balwangsan Gipum Kimchi, Makgeolli, dried pollack gopchang kim, Balwangsan hydrangea tea, and sugar-free ice cream have received great acclaim from consumers. The company explained that based on these business capabilities, it launched the new corporation 'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' to expand the natural ingredient-based health-friendly and eco-friendly food business in earnest.

'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' plans to leap forward as a global leading wellness company connecting nature, food, health, and happiness as one. Notably, famous Hallyu actress Lee Young-ae is participating as an investor in this new corporation, attracting attention. The participation of a Hallyu actress as an investor is expected to contribute to raising the awareness and customer trust of 'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' not only domestically but also in expanding overseas markets.

Products scheduled for release this year by 'Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd.' include healthy convenience foods such as 'Spicy Dried Pollack Ramen,' 'Balwangsan Hydrangea Turmeric Instant Rice,' and 'Gipum Organic Balwangsan Hydrangea RTD Beverage.' In particular, the dried pollack ramen is expected to become a representative new product targeting the global popularity of K-ramen and the wellness market, with a taste that has little dislike and is based on healthy food.

Currently, the company is conducting innovative research and development in collaboration with various research institutions and eco-friendly local companies, including Seoul National University Green Bio Science and Technology Institute, Kookmin University Department of Biofermentation Convergence, Sunmoon University Food Engineering and Pharmacy, and Gyeongnam Pharmaceutical. Additionally, it plans to establish the Balwangsan Food Research Institute to provide a platform where customers can directly experience and communicate about eco-friendly and health-friendly foods.

CEO Shin Dalsun said, “Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd. is a company that provides a healthy well-being lifestyle, not just food, enabling everyone to experience the pursuit of happiness in food, clothing, and shelter,” and added, “We will offer various products to improve customers' quality of life and grow into a global company leading healthy Hallyu.”

Meanwhile, as part of Mona Yongpyeong's ESG management, Yongpyeong Valley Co., Ltd. aims to pursue balanced regional economic development and coexistence through cooperation with local communities. The company prioritizes continuous sharing and social contribution that returns profits to society as its core operational philosophy. In particular, it aims to achieve sustainable development through various social contributions such as pediatric patient support programs, projects to assist local small business owners, and environmental protection activities.
