The Yeongyang-gun Public Health Center Mental Health Welfare Center operated the "Mind Relief Bus," a mobile psychological support service for the promotion of mental health among Yeongyang residents, from July 17 to 19.
The Mind Relief Bus is a project that provides mental health and psychological services to local residents in need of mental health support by utilizing a mobile bus. The program includes stress measurement, depression screening, mental health counseling, suicide prevention initiatives, and mental health awareness improvement. It aims to identify high-risk groups and provide early intervention to enhance mental health.
Accordingly, the Mental Health Welfare Center of Yeongyang-gun Public Health Center began the program on July 17 with residents of Daecheon and Geumhak-ri in Ibam-myeon, who were affected by recent heavy rains, followed by Jukpa-ri in Subi-myeon on July 18, and at the Yeongyang-gun General Welfare Center on July 19.
Residents who used the Mind Relief Bus responded positively, saying, "It was helpful to learn about our current stress levels and how to manage our mental health through stress measurement and counseling."
County Governor Oh Dochang stated, "We plan to continue operating the Mind Relief Bus, focusing on areas with limited access to mental health services, and will further strive to support the mental well-being of local residents."
