According to CNN and other broadcasts, Hogan attended as a speaker on the final day of the Republican National Convention held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When the American pro wrestling legend Hogan appeared on stage waving the American flag, dressed in a red bandana and a black sleeveless T-shirt, party members shouted "USA" in unison and cheered.

Hogan began, "I can feel a great energy entering this venue tonight." He then said, "We will take America back with our leader and my hero, the gladiator." He emphasized, "He will win in November, and when he wins, we will all be champions."

During his speech, Hogan tore the black sleeveless T-shirt he was wearing with both hands. The red sleeveless shirt revealed underneath had the names of the Republican candidate, former President Trump, and vice presidential candidate JD Vance. He raised his voice about the assassination attempt on Trump that occurred on the 13th, saying, "No more," and "Let the Trump maniacs make America great again." He also said, "I am watching Trump and his running mate JD Vance prepare together to save this country."

Local media reported that Hogan, who had not previously disclosed his support, changed his mind after the Trump stabbing incident on the 13th. He appeared on Fox News and said, "Seeing former President Trump rise with blood flowing and his fist raised in the air made me realize this is exactly what America needs." Hogan had once supported President Barack Obama.
