On the afternoon of the 18th, Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, held an emergency inspection meeting on flood-prone areas due to heavy rain, chaired by the mayor, and ordered each department to prepare thorough countermeasures.
In particular, he instructed special surveillance and inspection of disaster-vulnerable facilities and areas such as large-scale construction sites and landslide-prone areas that could lead to disaster accidents.
Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu said, “I hope that all available personnel and equipment will be fully mobilized to prevent any damage to the lives and property of residents. In addition, I ask that patrols of vulnerable facilities be strengthened and pre-inspections conducted to minimize flood damage, and that cooperation with related organizations be enhanced to minimize inconvenience to residents.”
On the morning of the 18th at 7 a.m., Dobong-gu raised the flood and typhoon emergency response to level 2 and is currently focusing all efforts on emergency response and damage recovery.
