Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 18th that it has been selected as an ‘Excellent Institution’ in the 2024 Childcare Support Project Service Provider Evaluation and will be the only autonomous district in Seoul to receive the ‘Minister of Gender Equality and Family Award.’
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family conducted quantitative and qualitative evaluations on the overall project, including satisfaction with childcare services, targeting 227 childcare service providers nationwide, and selected 34 excellent institutions. The award ceremony will be held at the ‘Childcare Support Project Communication Day’ event hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and the Korea Healthy Family Promotion Agency in December this year.
Currently, 164 childcare providers are active in Eunpyeong-gu, and the annual number of service uses reaches 81,883. The district provides childcare services when families with children under 12 experience care gaps. Childcare providers affiliated with the Family Center visit the respective families.
Meanwhile, in April, Eunpyeong-gu held the ‘Childcare Support Project Workers Activity Sharing Meeting,’ awarding the district mayor’s commendation to outstanding contributors, sharing activity cases, and providing time for communication and harmony among workers.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “I thank all those involved who have worked hard to ensure the smooth operation of the Childcare Support Project,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to provide good services next year as well.”
