9 Rescue Cases, 118 Safety Measures, and 29 Drainage Actions
The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Oh Seung-hoon) made an all-out effort in rescue operations during the heavy rain in the Jeonnam region, resulting in no fatalities and no major casualties.

According to Jeonnam Fire on the 17th, they entered an emergency duty system as heavy rain was forecast the day before and handled a total of 159 cases. These included 9 rescues, 118 safety measures, and 29 drainage operations.
In Heuksan-myeon, Sinan-gun, a family of four who were at risk of being isolated due to flooding in their house was safely rescued.
Near Namgang-ri, Seungju-eup, Suncheon-si, a van driving on a corner road fell 30 meters down, and six passengers were rescued. In Haenam and Wando, fires caused by rainwater infiltrating electrical facilities were extinguished at an early stage.
Additionally, the underground parking lot of an apartment in Gunnae-ri, Wando-gun was flooded, and drainage work was completed through joint response with related agencies.
Chief Oh Seung-hoon said, “We will do our best to inspect the damage situation caused by the heavy rain to prevent further damage, take preventive measures in dangerous areas, and support damage recovery.”
